Yamaha R15 version 1 custom

Hello riders,,

Pankaj here from Mumbai / Kolhapur.

Owing Yamaha R15 since Nov 2012, here i would like to share some custom radium design with my bike i did, so here we go.

Okay so this was till june 2013 all stock bike with graphics added about 3 years ago which later on faded, so decided to changed the radium graphics and with the same planned to fit a new Endurance Exhaust to bike, till now with all stock bike had topped 148 km/hr of speed and mileage driving on highway with 7-8K rpm was well around 35 km/hr where as on 6-7 K rpm about 40 km/hr roughly which is good enough for this bike.
Okay then June 2013 with bike completed 40,000 km on speedo! now changed graphics and stock exhaust with Endurance Exhaust which cost about 4000 inr with 300 inr for fitting in Mumbai.

So how new Exhaust sound like?
It seriously roars on street everyone watching including cops! lol.
About performance variations.
1. Mileage reduced fairly by 5 km/lt.

2. Acceleration increased which is quite noticeable
.
3. But the top speed remains intact, was able to take 145km/hr with new exhaust as compared to previous 148km/hr with stock exhaust. But the noticeable thing was had to rev it hard about 10k+ rpm for   145km/hr was required and about 9k rpm+ for 130 km/hr, engine is struggling to get above 9k rpm might be due to the back pressure require by engine isnt available with this new exhaust or simply it would require an replacement for after market airfilter the recommended for R15 is K&N RC1100 with cost of about 3150/- inr. For thos who would to really take the top of high speed got to make following.

1. Replacement of exhaust recommended Daytona -- cost 10,000 inr.

2. Replacement of Air Filter recommended K&N RC1100-- cost 3150 inr.

3. Replacement of spark plug recommended NGK Iridium CR8EIX -- cost 550 inr.

4. Replacement of Engine Control Unit (ECU) which is require for engine to push 12000 rpm since stock ECU has setting to cut-out engine at 10,500 rpm of maximum Daytona Brand provides the racing ECU for about 10,000 inr price tag, but where as i would recommend for PowerTRONIC ECU here the detailed information on their official website PowerTRONIC for R15 ---- Cost PowerTRONIC™: For Yamaha R15

1. RS: MRP Rs.10,500
2. RR: MRP Rs.16,000

5. Replacement of sprocket & chain Yamaha YZF R15 - 13/40 mostly provided by Daytona at cost of about 8000 inr this would required for top speed against engine rpm some have reported top speed of about 160 km/hr @ 11500 rpm.

7. Last but not least is breaking capability the current brakes with R15 may not prove sufficient at such high acceleration and top speed so make sure you get Front & Rear breaks with ABS provided by most of local brand but mostly designed for R15 comes with obvious Daytona checkout official website for brakes
